BALAY KOBO

With Aya from Balay Kobo, we illustrated products inspired by their year around the sun.

With photographer Aya Cabauatan, we imagined a space & home for the sun. We co-created the messaging and key iconography for her photography and home studio, Balay Kōbō, a gathering place for creation, connection, and community in the South. Balay Kōbō blends the functionality of a Japanese studio with the warmth of a Filipino home, and we designed the iconography around a mix of Japanese and Filipino values that mirror the essence of traditional houses from both cultures.
