SALU-SALO TAYO
With our Barangay and the National Museum, we brought a renaissance to Archipelagic Design.
At the National Museum of Natural History, TAYO marked 11 years of Archipelagic Design through a two-part event. The event served as the official launch of our living lexicon, Archipelagic Design: a collection of design stories and practices rooted in biodiversity and creativity of islands. We began with the 8 pulses of Filipino Design that we have encountered and embodied in our work to get to where TAYO is today. Our work posits that Filipino creativity is not merely an aesthetic choice, but a biological and cultural resonance with our land, sea, and people.
